I`m here!!!

Well I made it to Japan. It was a long flight and a lot of connections, but I finally made it. We head out for our 1 1/2 week trip in two days and the place that I am staying at does not have much computer access so I won`t be able to post anything until I get back or get to my host family. I will have tons of pictures and stories to tell when I get back!

Getting ready to head out!

Well I'm finally done packing and pretty much ready to go. I had my final dinner in America with my family which, oddly enough, was at a Japanese restaurant. I also said my goodbyes to friends and family.

Tomorrow I leave around 7 am to go to the airport; my flight from BWI leaves at 9. I then make a connection in Chicago and fly non-stop to Tokyo. In Tokyo I make another connection and fly to Sapporo.

When I get to Hokusei Gakuen University I'll try to make a post to let everyone know I made it alright before I head out on my 2 week trip throughout Japan. I won't have my computer with me on the trip so I won't be able to keep in touch until I get back to the school.

Well I will talk to everyone when I get to Japan and I'll see everyone when I get back in December!

Intro.

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog. This is just a way for you to keep in touch and follow me as I head off to Japan for 3 1/2 months. I'll be trying to update it a few times a week and keep you updated on what I've been up to but I can't say for sure what is going to happen. Living in Japan is going to be great and I'm really looking forward to it. While I am nervous I am still excited.

I will be living in the city of Sapporo which is in northern Japan on the island of Hokkaido.

But as soon as I get there I head off for a 10 day trip throughout Japan, so I won't be able to post during that time. I'll be going to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and many other places on my trip. Once I get back I move in with my host family and school starts.

I hope that this blog, while giving you an idea of what I am up to and allow you to keep in touch, will also give you a sense of what Japan is really like and what there is to do here. So if you are interested or just have nothing better to do, please keep checking my blog during the following months.
